The Registrar of Companies and Official Receiver of Cyprus (RoC), has announced changes to the categories of charges that will be accepted for registration.
The announcement was made pursuant to an announcement dated January 8, 2019, following an opinion from the Attorney General with respect to Article 90 of the Companies Law Chapter 113 that registration of charges relating to the pledging of foreign share certificates or the charges resulting from them, as was the practice followed by the Department prior to Attorney General opinion.
They will continue not to be eligible for registration charges relating to the pledge of share certificates of companies registered in Cyprus, or charges arising therefrom.
