Immigration

Immigration law regulates who can enter a country. Immigration and naturalization are distinct in the sense that immigration regulates how to enter and reside legally in a country whereas naturalization is related more to who can become a citizen.  They are nevertheless related topics and normally immigration lawyers practice both.

Permits include those of work of various categories/types, permits of secured annual income and permits of permanent residence by acquiring immovable property, subject to legislative thresholds and visas are prime examples related to immigration in Cyprus.

Citizenship can be acquired due to Cypriot origins, as a spouse of a Cypriot citizen or based on the years of residence, due regard maintained to the legislative and regulatory requirements.
